Allow approximately 2-3 hours for your total start - to- finish appointment time! Firstly, Amanda will analyse the shape, thickness and length of your current brows. Amanda is a trained professional that understands facial structures. Amanda will spend time to discuss the desired outcome you wish to achieve and problematic factors you are facing. An outline of your desired brow is stenciled onto your skin, so that you can examine the shape, thickness and arch, ensuring you are completely satisfied and there are no further changes you wish to make. The correct pigment colour is selected and your technician will begin the procedure. During this time, a numbing anaesthetic is applied to the brow area, to minimise any discomfort and pain

The ombre powder brow method uses extremely tiny colour pigments implementing into the skin. The tiny pigments spreads across your brow done with hand held tattoo machine. Giving you a soft powdered look. The colour can be built up for a more bolder look if desired. The pigments used are designed specifically for implantation into human skin. Application time usually takes 1.5 hours . Some redness and tenderness can occur to the treated area, however pain is managed with the numbing anaesthetic.

The pigment will appear 70% darker after the initial procedure has been completed. Pigment will lighten during the first 7 days which allows you time to reflect on your new eyebrow shape and colour prior to your final touch up application. 

After the procedure, it is important that the area to be kept dry and free from any moisture, oils and moisturisers for 7-10 days. This includes strenuous exercise, swimming, saunas and deep cleansing/exfoliating. Showering should be done gently avoiding the area as much as possible.

After 7-10 days the area will have started the healing process and the pigment will return to normal.

During the first 6 weeks when the skin is healing and the pigment is settling into the skin, a significant amount of pigment fading can occur, depending on your skin type. Certain skin types hold pigment better than others, however after two applications the pigment will sit well and fading will be minimal.

A touch up treatment is inclusive as a part of our service to correct any pigment loss.

*It is imperative that your touch up treatment is completed within these first 6 weeks to achieve the greatest results. This touch up booking will be scheduled during your initial appointment. Bella asks that you take the time to carefully plan and schedule this appointment at a time that is suitable and aligns within your schedule. If you fail to make your appointment and your touch up treatment occurs out of the 6 week period - You may notice significant pigment loss and further application costs may required. 

Cosmetic brow tattooing is a semi-permanent procedure and can last up to 18 months,  depending on the individual. To keep the brow pigment looking its best, it is recommended to touch up at approximately 12 to 18 months. The longevity of colour in the skin cannot always be predicted. Some skins hold colour longer and stronger than others, while others fade leaving a light residue in the skin. Pigment may fade or change according to metabolism, lifestyle, skin type, medications, age, smoking, alcohol, sun exposure, and use of active skincare products such as Retin-A and Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHA’s).
